About the Role
KEEN Venture Partners is a radically human venture capital firm that invests in fast-growing European technology companies. Based in Amsterdam, our team of 9 manages €270m in commitments over 2 funds, and we are currently raising a new Defence Technology fund to invest in dual-use companies across Europe.
We are now looking for an Intern to join the Defence Fund team in Amsterdam, supporting our efforts to make Europe stronger through investing in DefenceTech. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in venture capital — combining research, analysis, and day-to-day fund operations in one of Europe’s most exciting and emerging investment areas.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Analysis
- Support the Defence Fund team in identifying and analyzing emerging technologies and companies across DefenceTech, dual-use innovation, and security.
- Conduct market and competitive research on strategic areas of interest.
- Assist in preparing internal memos, presentations, and investment materials.
Operational Support
- Help the team with day-to-day operational activities of the Defence Fund.
- Support coordination between portfolio companies, advisors, and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to internal reporting, documentation, and process improvements.
Strategic Contribution
- Participate in team discussions and bring insights on technological and geopolitical trends.
- Assist in planning events, meetings, and ecosystem engagement related to DefenceTech.
About You
- You have a strong interest in defence, security, and technology, and want to contribute to Europe’s innovation strength.
- You’re organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a willingness to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- You have some experience supporting a team or organization, ideally in a research, finance, or operational role.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written); Dutch or other European languages are a plus.
