Tomek Lepka

Having spent the past years investing in European deep tech from Poland, the war in Ukraine has been a constant reminder that defence is not theoretical. It is immediate and structural. My generation was among the first to grow up in sustained peace, yet history here makes clear that sovereignty is never guaranteed. That perspective reinforced my conviction that technology underpins resilience, and that capital allocation is one of the most practical levers to strengthen it.
At Keen Venture Partners, I focus on defence tech, backing European teams building mission-critical technologies to keep Europe safe. I believe the next decade of security will be defined by fast-moving companies that combine credible deterrence with commercial speed - and that Europe can and must produce globally competitive leaders in this space. Beyond writing checks, I work with founders to accelerate adoption: navigating Europe's complex procurement landscape and helping critical technologies reach the decision-makers and end users who need them most.
I’m currently based in Poland and increasingly splitting time with Amsterdam. When not investing, I’m usually traveling for surfing or ski touring through the Tatra Mountains.
