For the past three years, those twelve job titles had one thing in common: shō-moon - a wellness brand I founded and bootstrapped, on a mission to transform ordinary moments into soulful rituals through natural, refillable products. Brand designer, candle maker, wholesale sales rep, PR, logistics,... I took it from inception to 25+ retailers across 5 countries, landed corporate clients including Calvin Klein Europe, got featured in 15+ publications, and along the way became a certified aromatherapist running workshops for everyone from the NHS to VC firms and private members clubs.
In my spare time, you'll find me exploring the city, practicing yoga, or on long walks with my fiancé and our labradoodle, Lucy. A few years ago, I took Interior Design and Lighting courses at the University of the Arts London, and I'm currently putting all of it to the test in my own home renovation.
Professional Bio
Before starting my own business, I worked at Zoom in Amsterdam during the peak pandemic years, managing the full sales cycle and helping SMEs get online. Prior to that, I worked at Box in London in business development for large enterprises in the UK and South Africa with a focus on Financial Services. I hold a First Class BSc in Politics with Economics from the University of Bath - between the geopolitics and the economics, and three years of actually running an SME, it turned out to be decent preparation for a VC that backs both defence tech and the technology that helps small businesses run better.
At Keen, I work across both the Defence and SME Tech Funds as Chief of Staff, a role that touches nearly every part of the firm from building systems, improving how teams work together, and keeping the internal wheels turning, I enjoy taking a systemic approach to solving problems across people, process and operations.
