VC Analyst internship

Position with Keen Venture Partners in Amsterdam

KEEN Venture Partners is a radically human venture capital firm that invests in fast growing European scale-ups, predominantly at the Seed, Series A and Series B stages. Based in London and Amsterdam, we’re now investing from our second fund (c.€150m). Our portfolio companies are active in a diverse set of tech sectors, but all share the same entrepreneurial DNA. Our current portfolio companies include the likes of Crisp, Bodyguard, Lendis, Mollie, Klima, Plan A, Withlocals and many other great companies.

We’re looking to add a VC Analyst Intern to our Amsterdam-based team. This is a great opportunity for an exceptional and enthusiastic person who can work as part of our team. We are looking for someone who is ambitious, data driven, personable and has a good sense of humour.

You’ll be an integral part of our investment team, playing a key role in all elements of venture capital investing:

  • Thesis work: mapping and analysing interesting emerging tech fields as part of our broader thesis-driven investment approach

  • Deal sourcing: proactively reaching out to interesting companies and speaking to founders across various sectors

  • Deal analysis: writing investment notes on promising companies

  • Deal execution: getting involved in closing an investment from A to Z

  • Portfolio management: supporting our internal reporting functions

  • In addition, there is room for involvement in various business development initiatives and internal projects

  • Highly motivated and driven … in life, to learn, to want to work in venture capital

  • Intellectual curiosity with a ‘what does this button do’ attitude and analytical abilities to boot

  • Banking or consulting experience isn’t a prerequisite for this role; experience or background in computer science or other engineering/programming is definitely a big plus

  • A passion for technology and a good understanding of the European start-up scene

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing

  • 0–2 years of work experience after completing your degree

  • Did we mention a sense of humour?

  • Fluent in English, additional languages a plus

The paid contract is for a period of 4-6 months full-time in our lovely Amsterdam office starting as soon as possible. Ideal candidates are looking for a way to gain work experience as an investor in venture capital. You must have a valid EU work permit and be able to work in the Netherlands.
